RG4 Tutoring is a Caversham based tutoring service, dedicated to ensuring your child has the tools they need to succeed and thrive at school and beyond.

We are passionate about education and giving every child the opportunity to achieve their full potential. We understand how important it is that children are confident in their abilities, embrace mistakes and develop a life-long love of learning.

Our Story

Founded by local friends Jess Heaven and Michèle Pattison, RG4 Tutoring serves the Caversham area of Reading with tutoring for ages 4 plus.

Recognising a need to provide additional support to children at all levels (especially considering the pandemic and the impact it had on children’s learning experiences), Jess and Michèle’s knowledge of local education provision coupled with personal experience as local mums themselves, meant that they were perfectly placed to launch a business together.

Jessica Heaven – Jess is a local Caversham girl born and bred having attended St Anne’s Primary school as a child, lived and raised her children in the area and worked in most of the local primary schools herself! Jess has a huge amount of teaching experience across primary and secondary to postgraduate level. Her qualifications include BA Hons (French and English), a Cambridge Teaching certificate (CELTA) and a PGCE from Reading University. Jess has been tutoring Caversham children for more than 25 years and specialises in English and Languages. Jess runs the teaching side of RG4 Tutoring, offering the majority of the tutoring services and referring children to one of our tutoring partners for subjects out of our remit.

Michèle Pattison – Michèle has worked extensively in Marketing and Administration, and in recent years has moved into the education sector, specialising in Admin and SEN support. Michèle runs the Admin side of RG4 Tutoring, arranging sessions, inductions, managing the finances and keeping all of the plates spinning! Michèle is passionate about supporting the needs of those with SEN, and ensuring that all children are able to thrive and meet their own individual potential.
